Maxis For Fall

With the heat we’ve had in DC this summer, I haven’t had a chance to wear any maxis, but I’m loving these looks for weekend brunches or walks around the city this fall. And when it’s even cooler, you can just throw on a light jacket and some ankle boots a la Olivia Wilde or a denim jacket like Blake Lively. And Pippa Middleton recently dressed up a maxi with wedges and a jacket (though I don’t love that ruffled bottom).

See more summer maxis you can wear this fall from Refinery29 - they’ve gathered some great maxis to buy now and pieces to pair with them later.

Finally – we have a winner of the cupcake giveaway! I was completely blown away by all the sweet comments and support, so thanks to each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart. And congrats to Ariana, who was randomly picked and will get a dozen cupcakes of her choosing!

I totally feel you on not wearing maxis in summer- they are so hot and stick to my legs! I never though about wearing them in fall or later… maybe I can pull one off with snow boots this winter :)

[...] so much to smile about rounds up maxi dresses for fall… could it be that a maxi dress is more suited to fall than summer? I think so! (find so much to smile about on twitter!) [...]

I live when a summer favorite can transition into fall!
