“This life is what you make it. No matter what, you are going to mess it up sometimes, it’s a universal truth. But the good part is you get to decide how you’re going to mess it up… So keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life’s a beautiful thing and there’s so much to smile about.” – Marilyn Monroe

You might remember Casie from these beautiful photos she took of me for my blog birthday, so of course, I couldn’t wait to get her back here for my actual birthday! She is one of the sweetest, most stylish girls I know, and I’m so happy to have met her through our DC fashion blogger network! Her blog is such a source of inspiration for me!

Hey!!!! I’m Casie, creator of whippedSTYLE, and I’m so excited honored to be a part of Liz’s birthday guest blog week!!! In light of Liz’s birthday celebrations ahead, I thought it’d be fun to seek out some fabulous party looks. I tried to stick to dresses–but you can’t *seriously* expect me to pass up these sequin shorts, can you? When a gal is ready to hit the town, she wants to either show a little skin, sparkle and shine or flash a bold color (…or all of the above!). So I found some options to fit any GNO must. Plus, New Year’s is right around the corner! What better time to browse your fave party looks?! Last New Year’s I LOVED wearing my navy sequins dress (pictured below) and it’s made me want to play dress up ever since!
