So I just need to say that at this point in the afternoon, my camera battery had died (yes, MY CAMERA BATTERY DIED AND THE CHARGER WAS IN DC). Moving on. I still utterly enjoyed the Mara Hoffman show, as I knew I would. With an “Aloha” theme – complete with ukulele players and palm tree branch headpieces – it was so different from the fall collection, and SO very Mara Hoffman. As she told Style.com before the show, “I decided to stay true to myself and bring my energy, pure and clean.”
I loved all the bright colors and fun prints (though for DC dwellers, imagine most of them would have to wait for hot summer days or trips to the beach). The pink and red colorblocked dress below would be stunning for any occasion, beach or no beach, and I absolutely adored everything about this look (and would wear it everywhere). The breezy maxis and printed skirts and shorts were wonderful too. Plus, who wouldn’t want to own a signature Mara Hoffman swimsuit (I’ll take this one)? Mai Tai, anyone?

This was the show I was most disappointed I didn’t get into. But, I am so glad I can look at everyone’s pics after! I love how the headpieces really set a mood for the line. I am loving this look, too: http://www.style.com/fashionshows/complete/slideshow/S2013RTW-MHOFFMAN/#14
