“This life is what you make it. No matter what, you are going to mess it up sometimes, it’s a universal truth. But the good part is you get to decide how you’re going to mess it up… So keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life’s a beautiful thing and there’s so much to smile about.” – Marilyn Monroe

Alumbra Photography Giveaway

I could not be more excited to share with you this Unveil by Alumbra giveaway! Photographer and owner Susannah and I started plans for this before the holidays and I recently stopped in to her Old Town Alexandria studio to try a portraiture session myself. Not only is Susannah the sweetest girl (and a local small business owner) but she is incredibly talented and makes you feel completely comfortable in front of the camera! After some coffee and conversation, I sat down with makeup artist Lacey to get camera ready! Keep reading for more info, including how you could win a free session for yourself with hair and makeup and a $50 credit towards products (total value $500, products start at $120)!

Susannah specializes in luxurious fashion-forward photo shoots for women that include a stylist on site to do hair and make-up, plus champagne and goodies while you get ready. During the shoot, Susannah was so helpful in getting the right poses – I didn’t have to worry about what to do at all (which was nice for a change)! And after a few outfit changes and both indoor and outdoor shots, I think we got some great photos. I’d love to know what you think!
