MaxxStyleScout: Brights

These days, I’m trying desperately to pretend it’s warm out by wearing bright colors and ditching tights. If you think it, it will happen? Fingers crossed! Thankfully, T.J. Maxx had plenty of bright pieces to help me with my second look as a #MaxxStyleScout. I actually wore this skirt earlier this week to an event and everyone was loving the sunny color (and the fact I wasn’t in my usual black/grey/neutrals)! It worked perfectly then with a navy blouse, but for an even brighter look, I paired it with this hot pink top.

I also tried out a mint color on my nails and a purple shade of lipstick to stay with the bright theme! A bold bag or scarf would have been fun too. Sadly, since it’s still chilly out, a jacket was necessary – but actually, I’ve been wearing this jacket everywhere since I found it at my T.J. Maxx store. For anyone who asked earlier, I like to shop at the Metro Center location in DC, and I’ve been told they get shipments Monday-Thursday. Insider info, people!
