MaxxStyleScout: Black and White

If you caught this Refinery29 story, you know that not only is black and white a big trend for spring, but that it’s one of my favorites. Luckily, my shopping bff convinced me to pick up this white pleated dress at the Metro Center T.J. Maxx – it’s the perfect dress for this heat! For this outfit, I paired it with black accessories (blazer, belt, bag & heels), but you could totally change the look of it with a casual brown belt or all white pieces. Plus, it’s one of my favorite designers and it was a steal!

If you’re like me, and not always super eager for Easter-egg colors and the “happy-go-lucky floral prints” of spring, this is such a great trend to try. Check out this story, this one or this one for more runway inspiration. And if you are headed out shopping, look for bold black and white pieces you can mix and match (jackets/blazers, shoes, accessories, dresses). Thankfully, they are such classic colors you can really wear them year-round no matter what is on trend!
