“This life is what you make it. No matter what, you are going to mess it up sometimes, it’s a universal truth. But the good part is you get to decide how you’re going to mess it up… So keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life’s a beautiful thing and there’s so much to smile about.” – Marilyn Monroe

Fall Trends With TJ Maxx

This last T.J.Maxx post was perfectly timed, given the chilly weather that came out of nowhere! Layering is such an easy way to stay warm (especially during transitional weather months) and still look put together. And this look features so many of my favorite T.J.Maxx finds: the designer bag (featured previously here, here, and here), a great leather jacket (worn here too), these fabulous heels (previously here) and my absolute new favorite… this gorgeous designer wine-colored dress! Plus, no look is complete without the right beauty products. Thankfully, T.J.Maxx has those too.

The dress is a beautiful sleeveless shape that fits me perfectly. It’s a designer I’d never worn before, but as soon as I saw it, I knew it was coming home with me. The quality and price were both unbeatable! And the color is great for fall. I’ve worn this dress so many times already, and the great thing is, with layering (such a great fall trend), you can get it to look so many different ways!

Here, I layered the dress with a printed cardigan, leather coat and scarf. But I’ve also worn it with a blazer for work or a sweater for a more casual look. And it works equally as well with flats as with business pumps or fun heels like these. Also, layering and print mixing can go hand-in-hand, so I would recommend checking out this post (and the links included in it) for more ideas. Be sure to layer different textures too! Save the heavy winter coats for winter – layer up to stay warm for now!

Expressing yourself through fashion, and knowing how to put together a great look—at great value, is what being a Maxxinista is all about. At T.J.Maxx you can score the unexpected to make your own personal style statement. Here’s to rockin’ your real deal.
