“This life is what you make it. No matter what, you are going to mess it up sometimes, it’s a universal truth. But the good part is you get to decide how you’re going to mess it up… So keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life’s a beautiful thing and there’s so much to smile about.” – Marilyn Monroe
So school is back in session, and even though it’s still pretty warm out, I’m definitely ready for fall. In particular, I’m loving all of the latest from Banana Republic, bucket bags, anything in French (still desperately missing Paris), everything from Madewell (their denim is extraordinary), lilac, burgundy, and long necklaces. If only it could just stay fall forever!
I can’t believe it’s already been two weeks since I was in Paris! Honestly, it was one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had. There was something really exciting about traveling alone – it was certainly a challenge to be completely by myself (without access to phone or internet during the day), attempting to speak French, and trying to find my way around, but I felt really brave and centered and just lucky. And everything went so smoothly! I arrived in Paris on a Thursday morning, found my apartment in Le Marais, and immediately went to a cafe for a croissant and coffee (of course). Other than cafes, I spent a lot of time reading in gardens, drinking wine, wandering around the Seine, and really just absorbing as much as possible. See below for some of my Paris highlights, and stay tuned for more!

I know, I know… you’ve probably seen what seems like a million Nordstrom sale roundups (I know I have!). I hadn’t gotten that excited about anything until today, when I grabbed a few of the things below. So just in case you haven’t found what you’re looking for, here’s another roundup!
I don’t know about you, but I’ve been seeing a lot of matching sets/separates around these days (i.e. Glitter Guide, WhoWhatWear, Refinery29) and they are really growing on me. It’s such a fun alternative to a printed dress, and usually incorporates the crop top trend to boot! Plus, I have to imagine you can get more use out of them by mixing them up with other pieces. See below for some of my faves!
