Looking For Leather

I’ve used this quote before, but it’s so perfect for this post I needed to revisit it:

“Many people are scared of leather because it’s so edgy, but when paired with a tee and a cardigan, blazer or flannel, they become interchangeable with any other skinny black pants. Trust me.”- Rachel Strugatz, online editor and reporter at Women’s Wear Daily and WWD.com, and editor of WWD.com’s Social Studies.

It was the photo of Emmanuelle Alt that put me over the edge – I wanted leather pants immediately.  Thankfully, Forever 21 has pairs for under $20 so I don’t have to feel guilty about the purchase (ShopBop has some great options if you are willing to invest).  And while I’m still convincing myself I have the legs to pull it off, I’m looking to these women for inspiration on how to put together the perfect leather look.

I have a hard time with this. I stopped eating meat but I still use leather goods. What’s wrong with me?! :*(

Personally I am not a fan of leather pants (becuase on my body they are not cute) but I say if you can rock ‘em, do it!

Oh Leeann I was the same way – was a vegetarian but wearing leather almost every day.

I love leather pants. Don’t own any right now but love looking at them on others!

That does it. I need a pair now!

I wore my pair out for the first time, and fewer people noticed than I thought would – it really is just another kind of black pant, but oh so chic!
