Chambray Button Downs

I know I’m late to the game, but I really love all the chambray/denim button down shirts. You can wear them with black jeans, leather, skirts or more denim – so great! For more styling ideas, see this post from Wit & Whimsy. And if you need to buy one, I love this Madewell version. As they put it, “there’s something at once utterly modern and old-school charming about this wear-everywhere essential.” Indeed.

Okay, last comment, I swear (loving all your recent posts!). In the late 90s, I gave away a chambray shirt that I’d had since my teens. I am KICKING myself now! I should’ve known — everything old is new again (and imagine how soft that shirt would be by now!).
