Butler + Claypool

If you’re in the DC area (and really, even if you’re not), and you’re not familiar with Butler + Claypool yet, it’s about time that changed! Butler + Claypool is a collaboration from some of the areas most stylish and talented, including Holly Thomas of the Washington Post, Kristin Guiter, Rachel Cothran, Betsy Lowther, Krista Haywood, and US Royalty‘s Paul Thornley. Their mission is to “provide a highly curated shopping experience that merges fashion with art, music, food and creative instruction.” To do this, the group scours thrift stores, private sellers and yard sales for affordable vintage pieces they offer at pop-up shops in the area and on their Etsy shop online.

Yesterday, they held their second major pop-up shop along with Pretty People Vintage, Uesa Goods, and Hugh & Crye at the very cool Vitaminwater Uncapped Live venue. In addition to a great selection of vintage clothing, there was a range of jewelry, artwork and housewares to shop. I found the prettiest dove gray dress that I can’t wait to wear!

Be sure to check out their blog for the latest updates (and the blogs of Rachel and Betsy – a couple of the best DC fashion blogs out there!) as well as their Etsy shop. I’m sure this group will have even more exciting things to come!
