The DC Fashion & Beauty Blogger meetup is next week, so if you haven’t registered yet, be sure to do so! And in case you haven’t seen it, Lacey and I have turned our little (now with 80+ individual members) blogger listserv into a website/network to promote DC area fashion and beauty bloggers! The timing is perfect too, as South Moon Under, a celebrated east coast fashion and accessories boutique chain, is hosting a pop-up shop and private event in honor of our organization on June 23! Guests will be able to shop the new Michael Stars line along with other clothing, accessory and gift items sold by South Moon Under at their location in Arlington, VA. Also, another DC fashion event for your radar – DC Goodwill and Black Swan Wines are working with the Swapaholics for a fun night of summer sipping, swapping & socializing at the Clarendon Ballroom. The event is Thursday, July 14th from 6PM to 10PM. All clothing items left over will be donated to Goodwill of Greater Washington. Finally, mark your calendars, and get your tickets for the Bitches Who Brunch Summer Soiree on Saturday, July 9, from noon to 3 p.m. at Ri. The event will include bottomless mimosas and brunch, a fashion show featuring styles from Rue 14, a book signing by Helena Andrews, author of Bitch is the New Black, and music from DJ Raha Wala. Plus, funds raised will be donated to the DC Farm to School Network, which provides fresh, local, and sustainable food to DC area schools and promotes healthy lifestyles and environmental consciousness to children and families.
