Beauty At Neiman Marcus

Last night I had the pleasure of attending a fall beauty event at Neiman Marcus Mazza Gallerie where I met with beauty brand experts to hear all about the latest products, color trends and technology. I was already a huge fan of several of the vendors there, including Laura Mercier (miracle tinted moisturizer), Le Metier de Beaute (can’t live without their eyeliner), and Clarisonic (use my Mia every day). Other vendors I was less familiar with, but I learned so much more about them.

You’ve probably heard of Kate Somerville before (love her ExfoliKate treatment and Anti Bac clearing lotion for my problem skin) – she’s been in the skincare business for over 18 years and has clients like Ivanka Trump and Molly Sims. Last night, I tried out her new product, True Lash, which removes makeup at the same time it creates more voluminous lashes. I sometimes get a little lazy removing eye makeup, but now I have no excuse knowing I can remove makeup while restoring my lashes with one quick swipe!

I also instantly loved the Noir Terriblement and Blanc Terriblement palettes from Yves Saint Laurent (available in November), that were inspired by the classic tuxedo – “the quintessential embodiment of the YSL woman.” The eye shadows are perfect for creating the smokey YSL “tuxedo” eye and the nail polish duo (a matte and a glossy black) looks amazing together – already on my Christmas list!

My other favorites included the Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair, the Lancôme Génifique collection and the Dior Beauty L’Or de Vie cream. Also, I wasn’t familiar with Sisley before last night but am head over heels for their foundation. And if you are in the market for a new perfume, I’d recommend checking out the Cartier Baiser Volé Eau de Parfum (SUCH a lovely fresh floral scent inspired by the lily) or the Prada Candy (inspired by color and pop culture).
