Packing For A Bachelorette Weekend

On Friday, I’m headed to Austin, Texas with some great girls to celebrate my best friend Marta’s bachelorette! I can’t wait to get away for the weekend, but I’ve never been to Texas before so I’m having trouble deciding what to pack! Thankfully, Shopbop is having a sale and I was totally inspired by their selections. I can’t say much about what we are planning to do while we are there (she’s a reader), but I think I have an idea of what to bring!

My theme for the weekend? Short dress, high heels! Hey – it’s a bachelorette party! In Texas! But seriously, if you have any recommendations for things to do and places to go in Austin, I’d love to hear! Also, if you have any great game ideas or general bachelorette party tips, please share! I can’t wait to tell you how it all goes!

Oh Liz, that’s so awesome! I think the weather is supposed to be good (not too hot), so great timing :) Do you know what y’all are doing for the bachelorette party? As for other stuff to do, be sure to eat. There’s so much good food to try. If you’re looking for a fun night out that doesn’t involve too much bachelorette type stuff, try the Highball: http://www.thehighball.com/events/

They always have really fun events (and karaoke :) Other than that, this weekend is also special because it’s Austin’s first Vintage Glamporium! Vintage shops from all over central TX are getting together to sell their goods. You can read more about it here: http://www.vintageglamporium.com/vintage/Welcome.html

Anyway, so excited you’re coming! Hope you have fun! And I can’t wait to read about your recap!

I grew up in Austin! When I’m back in town, the first place I go with friends is Shady Grove, on Barton Springs Blvd. We love to sit outside under the trees. It’s super casual. If it’s warm enough, get some sun at Barton Springs! I also love the Blue Dahlia bistro in East Austin.

I wore a skirt and top one night, a LBD another night, and a neon green dress the last night! Was a blast!

I really like these outfits. I haven’t checked out ShopBop before, but I will now. Hope the bachelorette party was a blast! xoxo

  10. Such great outfits… I love the one for the bride. The Parker top is off the hook ridic, I think I need!

Your local outfit cracks me up. I live in Houston, Texas & that’s not a local look. I hope you’re having fun & not having to travel by horse or anything. I’m being sincere, its just makes me laugh that people think we wear fringe, cowboy boots & suede all the time.

Haha there were some very fashionable people in Austin! I had never been to Texas before and I just loved it!
