Refinery29 Launches In DC
Last night, I joined some of the area’s most stylish at Madewell in Georgetown for the launch of Refinery29 in DC. “We are very excited to bring the Refinery29 universe of nonstop content and amazing commerce offerings to Washington, D.C.,” says Refinery29 CEO and co-founder Philippe von Borries. “Refinery29 champions local style and retail, and D.C. has such a thriving audience of youthful women who truly care about style and self-expression. With our arrival, we hope to bring a complete daily lifestyle destination to our style-hungry subscribers in the nation’s capital.”
Caitlin of Style Within Reach with a friend and Sara of High Fashion For Less
The DC edition is led by editor Holly Thomas, former fashion writer at the Washington Post and co-founder of my favorite vintage/design collaboration, Butler + Claypool. “Washington, D.C. is so much more than a government town— it’s home to great shopping, a thriving arts and culture scene, and some truly creative and stylish people,” says Holly. And she would know – I can’t think of anyone better suited for the job! You can absolutely bet on some amazing things from the talented DC Refinery29 crew.
