New York Fashion Week Day 3

For my last full day in NYC, I spent most of my time down at the Milk Studios and Chelsea Market. My first show was Kevork Kiledjian, a new-to-me designer I was invited to cover with Crissie (who has one of my fave blogs) and IFB. If you love sexy dresses, dark colors, and lots of leather (and I do), you’d love this collection. There were also tight leggings (with a bit of a boot cut), fur, and amazing moto jackets. Aside from the leather, I loved the jacquards and the little black dresses with cutout/mesh details. Absolutely gorgeous!

After the Kevork show, I wandered through the Chelsea Market a bit before heading to the Edun show (recap coming soon!). From there, it was off to SoHo to get my makeup done at the Sephora Make Up For Ever boutique. I wasn’t familiar with Make Up For Ever so loved learning more about their products, like the the brand’s HD Complexion range that was created in response to the need for products that could counter the unforgiving high definition camera lens - it’s a new fave of mine! My makeup looked amazing thanks to Casey and the team there! Such a fun experience.

With perfectly done makeup, I made my way to my last New York Fashion Week experience – the Mathieu Mirano presentation. When you first walked into the room, it was hard not to stare at the dragon heads hanging from the ceiling! But then you turned to the fashion, and lots of gowns in blues, reds, gold, silver and black. Mirano, just 20 years old, was inspired by a dream involving women, the sun and a dragon, and you could tell. Sunbursts were present throughout the collection, and the dragon accessories and hardware were absolutely stunning. I’m dying for one of those gold cuffs! Again, there was lots of velvet and leather, chiffon and colorful fur – what fall will be all about!
