Jill Stuart Spring 2013

Saturday was by far my craziest day while at New York Fashion Week – I managed to make it to five shows back-to-back, and would have made it to six had I been able to find the venue for Edun (this was the single most devastating thing to happen to me while I was in NYC). Thankfully, I had the Jill Stuart show to kick off my day, and it was the absolute perfect start.

For spring, Jill Stuart was inspired by Kim Basinger’s character in “L.A. Confidential,” which meant lots of glamorous (think Old Hollywood) looks and an unabashedly feminine silhouette. Lace dresses and jacquard pieces were prevalent, along with sequins, pleats and a handful of silky gowns. There were also some pants and belted jackets I loved (I especially adored this champagne-colored trench). It was a truly beautiful collection to watch (and you can catch my video of the final walk here)!

This was one of ym favorite shows of the weekend. I am in love with the champagne belted coat, and the gold sequin gown. Sorry about the Edun mishap though :(
