Summer Black
I know summer is supposed to be all about color, but The Sartorialist just posted some amazing backless black dresses, and well… I love black. So I thought I’d just quickly share some of my favorite summer all-black looks. Also, I’m on the hunt for a work appropriate LBD, so if you have any tips – let me know (tempted by this one)!

My closet is so dark because it’s full of black. But we definitely can’t wear it here in Houston during the summer!

My Banana Republic got the Issa Collection engagement dress in black as well as merlot and royal blue. (I didn’t see the black online, so maybe not every store got them.) I love a pretty LBD so I passed on the blue in favour of the black. If you can get your hands on one, it’s a great work to date night option. Nanette (thesailorswoman.wordpress.com)
Search no longer my dear! H & M has an amazing LBD that I wore for the first time at my uber conservative office with a super thin nude belt and it was a hit!! ( both with the older lady co-workers and the young ones!)I bought it about a month ago, so it should still be available. I also bought the same cut in violet. BEAUTIFUL!!
