Red Carpet Style – Grammys

It’s time for another red carpet recap! While I wasn’t that impressed overall with last night’s Grammys, there were a few stand out looks that I loved – including (from left to right below) Taylor Swift in Gucci, Rita Ora in Lanvin, Chrissy Teigen in Johanna Johnson, Anna Kendrick in Azzaro (I really just love her generally – you must follow her on twitter), and Ciara in Emilio Pucci (that baby bump!). And surprisingly (or maybe not), we have a trend! Keep reading for a few ways to incorporate these metallic/sparkly looks into your everyday style – red carpet not required.

In my opinion, the easiest way to make this red carpet trend your own is in your makeup – specifically, using a gorgeous metallic eye shadow or lipstick with a hint of gold. Speaking of makeup, I thought Taylor Swift’s smokey eye was actually pretty great, and both Ciara (duh) and Chrissy Teigen were glowing. You can also always add in some sparkle with accessories like a clutch or those awesome loafers. Seriously, how fun are they? And finally, a fun metallic tee or golden sweater with a pair of jeans is perfect for a more casual look.

Everyone who knows me, knows I love all things gold, so this is definitely a trend I’m happy to bring back. Plus, gold jewelry is never out of style!
