Paris Part 1
I can’t believe it’s already been two weeks since I was in Paris! Honestly, it was one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had. There was something really exciting about traveling alone – it was certainly a challenge to be completely by myself (without access to phone or internet during the day), attempting to speak French, and trying to find my way around, but I felt really brave and centered and just lucky. And everything went so smoothly! I arrived in Paris on a Thursday morning, found my apartment in Le Marais, and immediately went to a cafe for a croissant and coffee (of course). Other than cafes, I spent a lot of time reading in gardens, drinking wine, wandering around the Seine, and really just absorbing as much as possible. The garden at the Rodin Museum is a must see (and only €1),
along with Musée d’Orsay (don’t miss their balcony)… and I just wandered outside the Louvre.

My absolute favorite spot was the Place des Vosges – on a couple different occasions I just relaxed here with a book and croissant and did a bit of people watching! I also loved seeing the Eiffel Tower at sunrise and the Arc de Triomphe (above), and grabbing croissants and macaroons from Cafe Pouchkine (Cafe Briezh was closed while I was there!). Stopping at the market at Breguet Sabin on Sunday was also a highlight, as was walking with crepes around the Île Saint Louis! And my dinner at Le Dome du Marais was the perfect escape at the end of a long day. I can’t wait to go back (someday)!

I lived in Paris for 3 months (by myself also) this year. It’s such a magical city! I can’t wait to go back :)
i’d love to hear more about how it was traveling alone? i’ve always wanted to do that, eating alone at restaurants doesn’t bother me but i want to take all these trips that no one else seems to be able to go on!!!
