Spain Travel Guide
Last month, I took a trip to Spain with my sister – we spent three full days in Madrid, and another three full days in Barcelona. Spain had definitely been on my travel list, and we had the most amazing time! Both cities were absolutely beautiful, with wonderful food and music and people. I know a lot of people that prefer one of the cities over the other, but I honestly loved both. For more from the trip, you can find saved stories on Instagram. But below are just a few of the highlights!

El Retiro Park – maybe one of my favorite spots.

In Madrid, you can visit the rooftop of Circulo de Bellas Artes for cocktails and a view.

Stop by Plaza Mayor on your way to San Miguel Market.

Wandering around Puerta del Sol (and Gran Via for shopping) was a perfect way to spend an afternoon. Also, for some of our favorite restaurants, don’t miss Chocolateria San Gines for chocolate con churros, Casa Patas for a traditional flamenco performance (we really enjoyed this!), and Taberna El Sur de Huertas for tapas and sangria. I don’t always do all the tourist spots, but the Royal Palace of Madrid (including the inside tour) was absolutely worth it. It’s the official residence of the Spanish Royal Family and the largest royal palace in Europe by floor area (so lots of gorgeous spots to explore).

Other great Barcelona spots were Creps al Born for cocktails, Bar del Pla for tapas, Bistrot Levante or Can Cisa for dinner, and the roof of Hotel 1898 for cocktails. Also, if you need a place to stay, we loved Banys Orientals! Thanks to the Everygirl for helping us find that spot!
