I’ll be the first to admit, with a forecast full of rain, my outfits start to lack inspiration… I usually opt for a striped tee, cropped pants and a basic trench. Which works – but I’m going to try to mix it up a bit!

Even though female fashion is my main interest, my male readers/friends keep asking for a post for them – and I have to say, a well-dressed man does make me smile (right, ladies?). Luckily, the online shopping site Mr. Porter, Net-a-Porter‘s male counterpart, launched last month and inspired me to finally put something together for the boys. And, oh, the man that shops here will be a good looking man. In addition to putting together outfits, Mr. Porter also has style advice, how-to manuals, articles, a glossary, and a great new list of the top 32 classic items every man should own for spring and summer. Below are just a few of my picks off that list, which includes essential items like the blue suit, trench, blue blazer, grey trousers, chinos, sweaters and more.
