Closets to Covet

One of my resolutions this year was to edit my closet – donating or throwing away what I don’t wear and what doesn’t fit me. A well-organized closet can make a world of difference when getting ready in the morning! I don’t have that much space to work with, but if I did, how lovely are the closet spaces below? I would also recommend picking up some slimline hangers - these were the best thing I’ve done for my closet yet! Now I just need to get around to that editing thing…

Desk Space Design

One of the first things I was looking forward to in 2011 was a new computer setup and a desk in my bedroom where I can work and blog from home when I want. With my new computer monitor and desk purchased, I’ve been scouring blogs for desk space design ideas, and luckily, the Decorista has plenty of them. How great are these spaces? Now all I need are some bright curtains, a ghost chair and a big gold mirror!

Black Swan

Last week, after a lot of commotion and rave reviews, I went to see Black Swan – and have been unable to stop thinking about it since. It was such a dark, forceful film, and yet, so very beautiful. With costumes designed by Rodarte (40 pieces including the tutus, leotards and even legwarmers) and a gorgeous cast (Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis, Winona Ryder, Barbara Hershey), that’s not surprising – what was surprising, was the dramatic and haunting intensity that accompanied it, supported by Tchaikovsky’s incredible score. If you have been thinking about seeing it, you must.
