How to Wear: Pink Jeans

I have to admit, in this heat I haven’t thought much about jeans, but when a friend emailed about how to style her new pair of pink jeans, I jumped at the chance to help. I’ve posted before on colored denim for spring, but I’m really loving all the ways I found to wear hot pink pants in every season (yes, even winter). For now, I think it looks perfect with a striped top and bright bag, chambray and leopard, peach and gold chains, or with a black tee and boucle jacket. I’m also loving this ensemble via the Budget Babe. Right?

Packing For A Bachelorette Weekend

On Friday, I’m headed to Austin, Texas with some great girls to celebrate my best friend Marta’s bachelorette! I can’t wait to get away for the weekend, but I’ve never been to Texas before so I’m having trouble deciding what to pack! Thankfully, Shopbop is having a sale and I was totally inspired by their selections. I can’t say much about what we are planning to do while we are there (she’s a reader), but I think I have an idea of what to bring!

Lately I’ve been feeling a bit uninspired with my office attire – thankfully, there is plenty of inspiration on the runways this fall! I love the skinny, cropped trousers with pointy toe pumps, pretty silk blouses, printed skirts, flowy straight leg pants, and crisp tailored jackets. Now if only I could get everything here in my closet!

My Travel Essentials

In just a few hours I’ll be on my way to America’s Dairyland (aka Wisconsin)! Here is everything I need when I travel, outside of my suitcase… (that’s another story).

A soft, slouchy tee (T by Alexander Wang is my absolute favorite, James Perse is also wonderful, but pricey)
A warm colorful scarf (love this DVF one)
Sunglasses (I don’t go anywhere without my Ray-Ban Wayfarers)
A magazine (how gorgeous does Reese look on the cover of May’s Vogue?)
Comfortable jeans (in winter I’d wear my black jeggings because they are so comfortable, but I like something lighter for spring)
A large tote (I’m obsessed with my Botkier, but this Vanessa Bruno is great too)
A good book (planning to start Ghost Wars this trip)
A light jacket (I have a great Nine West that looks just like this Helmut Lang)
My iPhone (I have close to 3,000 songs on mine – am currently listening to Mumford & Sons, Ray LaMontagne, Florence + the Machine, Diana Ross, Adele, The Tallest Man On Earth and Herbie Hancock)
Flats (my favorite are nude ballet flats – would love these Blochs)
Eyeliner (I like to retouch when I land and nothing is better than this NARS eyeliner pen, I promise! Instant glam…)
Lipstick (I haven’t tried the Dior Addict lipstick yet, but I’m dying to)

DIANE Vintage Collection

I’m such a fan of Diane von Furstenberg and her beautifully flattering dresses. Always fun and easy-to-wear, the DVF dress has been a classic since Diane designed her first collection forty years ago.

I also have a love for vintage, so when I heard that DVF was bringing back a slightly modernized version of her seventies dresses and vintage prints, I couldn’t have been more excited. The line, called DIANE, includes updated versions of the iconic wrap dress, accessories, shoes and swimwear. I love the bright, bold prints – perfect for mixing. And those dresses? Amazing.
