I think we can all agree that it was a particularly brutal winter – and that it’s finally looking like spring! While I still have to get through finals (just two more weeks!) before I can really start enjoying it, I’ve been making a serious effort to get my skin back in shape for spring and summer.

For me, this means exfoliating (I use my Clarisonic every night), moisturizing (Dr. Dennis Gross for face, Amlactin for body), toning and treating acne (loving all Mario Badescu products lately), and using serums to boost brightness and get rid of any dark spots that accumulated over the past few months (cold weather + crazy stress = skin disaster). Perricone MD’s Vitamin C Ester serum has been an absolute necessity… the ultra-brightening properties together with anti-agers have seriously brought my skin back to life. I use it every morning (and would also recommend their Blue Plasma for evenings), then try to keep it simple with tinted moisturizer, a bit of blush, winged eyeliner, natural nails, and a great lip balm.

I know just last month I posted on my spring skincare must-haves, but I already have some new faves to add to that list! For starters, I’ve been a fan of Dr. Perricone products for a bit (seriously great face wash), and just discovered SUPER, a skincare line by Dr. Perricone that utilizes the “power of Superfoods” to encourage “healthy aging and overall radiance.” All the SUPER products I’ve tried feel really fresh – even though it’s a dermatologist-created line, they don’t really use chemicals. For example, the Clarifying Activator Treatment Prep uses quercetin from apples to prevent blemishes. I use it after I wash my face and it’s already replaced my old toner. Plus, I’m using the 3-Minute Facial Intensive Treatment and the Tinted Moisturizer regularly now – and when I was traveling last week, the Detox Elixir Hydrating Mist totally refreshed my skin after my flights.

I’ve always struggled with sensitive yet acne-prone skin and very few products work well for me.
