Yesterday, I attended a special holiday luncheon to celebrate Tiffany’s 175 years. Now I know breakfast at Tiffany’s is pretty special, but lunch with Tiffany at Blue Duck Tavern was an absolutely amazing experience. Not only did I get to try on some incredible jewelry (that emerald cut ring was to-die for), but the team at Blue Duck Tavern took out all the stops, serving us delicious food and even preparing a celebratory Tiffany styled chocolate cake! Talk about making a girl/group feel special!

Nokia Mood Board Challenge

After looking at Leila’s collections and getting used to the Nokia Lumia (seriously love this phone – especially great for photo taking), I started brainstorming the kinds of images and inspiration I wanted to capture. Instantly, I knew I wanted to showcase some of the amazing street art around my neighborhood. It’s a side of Washington, DC that not everyone sees and is so quintessentially U Street. Jazz, poetry, literature, history – I snapped plenty of photos with the Lumia! Plus, you can see some of my favorite LeiVanKash pieces below. I was especially in love with the Totem collection, but couldn’t help but include some skulls and daggers too!

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I had a great time with a bit of snow (not much I know, but it’s something), out of town guests and lots of fun playing games on the wii – it’s amazing what you come up with to do when there’s no internet all weekend long! I also spent a lot of time with the puppy and wore the BaubleBar necklace below almost everywhere. Isn’t it great?

Gioielli By Nikki Baker At Hu’s

Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of meeting jewelry designer Nikki Baker at Hu’s Wear in Georgetown. A complete sweetheart, Nikki is a LA native who now calls New York “home,” though she splits her time between NYC and London (where she had just come from). While looking over all the pretty pieces on display at Hu’s, we chatted about her inspiration, favorite items, and what’s new for Gioielli!

A Tiffany’s Party

I’m not sure there’s a girl out there who hasn’t dreamed of getting that iconic blue box to open at some point or another – so what better time than the holidays to check out the latest that Tiffany’s has to offer! The lovely team at their Chevy Chase store invited a handful of bloggers to try on pieces, sip champagne and learn even more about the great American jeweler (did you know the company was started in NYC in the 1830s with just $1,000?). There was so much more to admire than their diamond rings (though taking off that classic Tiffany’s solitaire diamond ring was tough)!
