I know colored denim is nothing new by now, but since I just got my first pair of colored jeans (cobalt – my fave, c/o Rock & Republic for Kohl’s) I’ve been loving the trend even more! Especially for spring, colored denim will be my go-to piece for a fun pop of color (and we all know I need it)! I love cobalt or bold red with neutral tees or a fun blazer – or even a printed top like the polka dots below or some colorblocking if I’m feeling especially daring! Kohl’s Rock & Republic Show Cont.

As promised, here’s bit more about the Kohl’s Rock & Republic show! After I arrived, I watched the photogs set up and eagerly waited for the guests to arrive. I had no idea what to expect, but as soon as Ed Westwick walked in, I couldn’t have possibly been more excited! Zoe Saldana, Ashlee Simpson, Mena Suvari, Molly Sims, and Penn Badgley all walked by me, but I couldn’t stop staring at Chuck. So NOT nonchalant… But it was really great to see so many celebrities come out to support Kohl’s, and the affordable Rock & Republic line. And starting today, you can shop the line in stores! Rock & Republic Preview

First, thanks so much to everyone for all the kind words and support last week! I got some great advice for my first fashion week (check it out here – you are all amazing!) and I couldn’t be more excited!

With only a week to go, in addition to stressing over what I’m going to wear while I’m there (note to self: pack flats), I did some research on what will (most likely) be my first show. As you know, I’ve been selected to join the Kohl’s Rock & Republic Reporter Team to cover their launch party and fashion show. What you might not know is that Rock & Republic’s new collection of denim, apparel and shoes will be sold exclusively at Kohl’s later this month, but you can preview some of the collection online today.

In just over a couple weeks I’ll be headed up to NYC for my very first Fashion Week! I never really imagined this trip would happen, but I’ve been asked to be a part of the Kohl’s “Rock & Republic Reporter Team,” which means I’ll be covering their fashion show and launch party and reporting back to you! And of course, as long as I’m there, I hope to take in as much as I can! If you’re going or have been there before, PLEASE leave me tips and tricks and any advice you can think of! I have a feeling it’s going to be quite the adventure.
