Lately I’m loving the look of head-to-toe (or close to it) color. To master the monochromatic look, it’s easiest to choose neutrals (though I love the burgundys and reds). Plus, you can always mix textures and add a pop of color with a fun necklace or clutch. I love the idea of an all black look with white heels. So fun!

How to Wear: Pink Jeans

I have to admit, in this heat I haven’t thought much about jeans, but when a friend emailed about how to style her new pair of pink jeans, I jumped at the chance to help. I’ve posted before on colored denim for spring, but I’m really loving all the ways I found to wear hot pink pants in every season (yes, even winter). For now, I think it looks perfect with a striped top and bright bag, chambray and leopard, peach and gold chains, or with a black tee and boucle jacket. I’m also loving this ensemble via the Budget Babe. Right?

Rock The Right Fit

For my last post with Rock & Republic (remember the NYFW show?) I’m talking about the fit of your jeans. I’m actually pretty loyal to skinny cut jeans – I just feel they go with so much more and are easier to wear – but I do love the look of a flared or bootcut jean! Especially with a bit of a 70s vibe, flared jeans can look so chic.

Emerald City

So I know that Tangerine is the Pantone color of the year, and blush/nudes were the colors on the Golden Globe red carpet, but lately, I’m loving all things emerald (Emma Stone rocked an emerald blazer recently and I’ve been obsessing ever since). Maybe I’m already ready for spring, or maybe I really am getting into this “wear more color” thing, but I think I need to find some more green to add to my wardrobe asap!

Winter Layers

This morning felt a little chilly, but over the weekend it was warm and sunny and amazing! And a few days this week, it will be warm, and then really cold again. Still, I seem to be wearing pretty much the same uniform these days – skinny pants tucked into boots with a slouchy sweater. My favorite outfit! Wear alone for those warmer days, and add a big scarf, gloves and a warm coat for the colder ones. I’m still trying my best to add more color, and next up, will try to work more dresses/skirts into my rotation – I promise!
