Holiday Gifting with Sears

Banana Republic Fall

I’ve been a loyal fan of Banana Republic for some time now (evidence here and here) but I think this fall collection takes it to a whole new level (of note: J.Crew alum Marissa Webb was named the new creative director and executive vice president of design last spring). You can shop a few pieces early here, and the whole collection goes live tomorrow! Also, a couple weeks ago I picked up this skirt, this skirt, and these pumps, and am seriously obsessed. Forever 21 Tysons

Over the weekend, Forever 21 opened a newly remodeled and expanded store (over 26,627 square feet) at their Tyson’s Corner location (1961 Chain Bridge Rd). And it’s just in time for fall! I’m loving their fall collection (see below), which features trends like oversized, luxe boho, minimalist and textured, with lots of knits in camels and grays, plus prints. Also, don’t miss The Outerwear Edit, featuring Anja Rubik.

So school is back in session, and even though it’s still pretty warm out, I’m definitely ready for fall. In particular, I’m loving all of the latest from Banana Republic, bucket bags, anything in French (still desperately missing Paris), everything from Madewell (their denim is extraordinary), lilac, burgundy, and long necklaces. If only it could just stay fall forever!

Obviously this isn’t something I could really wear during the workweek (but maaaaybe), but it’s growing on me for a fun vacation, concert, or beach-y look. What do you think? First, apologies for the absence! But if you follow me on instagram, you might know that I recently moved apartments (immediately following finals – talk about bad timing on my part!). And it was a particularly big move for me… I said goodbye to my roomie and friend who moved back to Kansas, moved out of the only place I’ve lived in since moving to DC six years ago, and moved in to my first apartment by myself! It’s been a lot of work, but I’m close to being done – so these days, my wish list is full of cozy lounge wear and a few random house items. Plus, a one piece swimsuit to wear on my new rooftop! Woohoo!

So while you are (hopefully) getting in the holiday spirit and enjoying holiday parties and shopping for gifts, I’m in the middle of studying for finals – nothing but school for me until December 17th! November Wish List

Can you believe it’s already November? October is by far my favorite month, and this one was no exception – I celebrated a birthday, dressed up for Halloween, and continue to absolutely love law school (crazy, I know!). Things are definitely different (I read casebooks before bed instead of blogs, drink coffee on the weekends instead of mimosas, and sit through lectures in the evenings instead of events), but I couldn’t be happier with it all! Speaking of happy – with the chillier weather, any of the items below would make me just giddy. Cozy sweaters, jeweled shirts, perfect jeans… love it all.
