If you are in the DC area, you likely already know the lovely ladies behind SpicyCandyDC – if not, you’re in for a treat. In addition to being incredibly sweet girls and talented bloggers, Carlis and Katya recently partnered with South Moon Under to produce a lookbook, which has me seriously craving a trip to the beach (and South Moon Under)! To celebrate the lookbook’s launch, they are throwing a release party on April 12th at the South Moon Under Clarendon Location. Dani Stahl, fashion editor, stylist and star of E! Network’s “Scouted” is coming to DC to show her support, so you know it will be one cool party! On Thursday, South Moon Under hosted a fabulous in-store event for their exclusive Michael Stars pop-up shop in honor of DCFABB. I had an absolute blast shopping all the new clothes, catching up with fellow bloggers (loved running into Fasshonaburu!) and enjoying delicious Crumbs cupcakes, sushi and cocktails!

The Michael Stars spring/summer selections included casual-chic tees and dresses, lots of color and fun print, and lightweight scarves perfect for summer layering. Inspiration was drawn “from the eclectic sensibility and exotic aesthetics of global jet-setting, spotlighted by crochet trims, billowing retro shapes, tribal accents and rugged safari styling.”
