When Carla and Marshall of The President Wears Prada partnered with Ashley Turchin to start an online boutique, ANTHOM, I knew it would be amazing – and it is. They have some seriously cool pieces, like this pencil skirt or this dress, and on Wednesday, they are hosting ANTHOMlive – a pop-up-shop and party in Georgetown. Miranda Kerr For Mango

I absolutely love Miranda Kerr‘s off-duty style, but it’s so fun to see her in this punk-inspired campaign for Mango, which is a bit edgier/grungier than what she usually wears. While I don’t think I’d give up heels for the menswear inspired footwear here, I’d definitely take everything else for fall!

New Muleh Location

Those who know me, know how much I love the U Street and 14th Street neighborhoods in DC (you can view my city guide here, though it does need to be updated). One of my favorite shopping spots is Muleh, which just opened a new store at 1821 14th street! Muleh features selections from designers like Phillip Lim 3.1 and By Malene Birger, hard to find international brands like Viviane Westwood’s Anglomania and Red Label, Smythe, and Lizzie Fortunato, along with furnishings, lighting and home accessories (from Kenneth Cobonpue, Hive and Ango). Phillip Lim For Target

Pack A Bag

H&M Spring

Model Frida Gustavsson is wearing some great pieces from the spring collection – I especially love the black jacket, printed skirt and embellished tops. Maggy Frances Spring

The second I saw these lookbook images from the Maggy Frances Spring/Summer 2013 collection, I knew I had to share. The bright prints, tailored suiting, and breezy blouses are all absolutely perfect for spring (plus I just love the styling and photography, and those shoes). 24-year-old designer Maggy Schultz called the collection “Posh Surfer Babe” and drew inspiration from Montauk surf culture, 1930s wallpaper designs, and early 20th century prints of sea creatures. Style Crush: Joe’s Spring 2013

If I could, I think I’d spend almost every day in the perfect pair of jeans. The latest lookbook from Joe’s is totally not helping. I love the expanded vintage collection with a looser, easier fit (my favorite kind of fit these days) as well as the distressed color collection and other great pieces – cozy sweater or tee + great jeans + pointed toe heels = my ideal outfit. Love.

Duro Olowu For JCP

Yes, it’s another designer collaboration! This time, I’m loving the fun dresses and mixed prints from the Duro Olowu for jcp collection, which launches in store and online March 1st. If you aren’t familiar, Duro Olowu is a Nigerian-born, London-based designer who is a best-seller at Barneys and a regular in Vogue (read more about him here). The jcp collection is inspired by “American classics with global flair” and includes apparel, home and accessories, all of which retail for under $100. I love the bold colors and how easily you could mix the pieces! Perfect fun looks for warmer weather, for sure.

Jason Wu’s diffusion line Miss Wu! Available at Nordstrom stores, the spring collection is full of Wu’s trademark ladylike pieces perfect for the younger set (I’m thinking DC women will especially love this line). Before I get into why I love Veronica and her blog, Bittersweet Colours, I have a favor to ask! I’ve been doing some thinking about the few reoccurring series I have here and brainstorming new ones (right now I have Outfit + Occasion, Style Crush and my weekly Happy Friday recaps). I’ve been doing “Style Crush” posts since February of 2011 and have covered faves from Taylor Tomasi Hill to Emily Weiss – typically fashion insiders, editors, models or celebrities. So my question is, are you digging the current focus or would you like to see more bloggers, like Veronica, featured? Or maybe you’d like to see real DC/NYC area people? And if I feature people who are more accessible, would you want to see an interview aspect (or do you get enough of those already)? Or should I keep “Style Crush” as is and create a new feature series? These are the questions that keep me up at night (not really)! Any feedback would be such a help!
