I feel like I’ve been seeing kimono style tops, jackets and dresses around a lot lately (ASOS has a ton). Obviously this isn’t something I could really wear during the workweek (but maaaaybe), but it’s growing on me for a fun vacation, concert, or beach-y look. What do you think? Statement Necklaces For Summer

My affinity for BaubleBar has been well documented, but between the “guest bartenders” and the new sale section, BaubleBar has been killing it lately. I’m especially obsessed with bright statement necklaces for summer, which are perfect for adding a bit of edge to a neutral work outfit (my new go-to) or dressing up a tee on the weekends. Plus, they look amazing layered (my current inspiration). And the best part about the necklaces below? They are all under $50. Seriously.

Next up with Target, we are covering the spring “lace” trend! Whether it’s a top, dress, or just an accent, lace is the perfect springtime material. And while it can certainly be cute/sweet, it can also be sexy. Think a red lace dress or red lace top paired with skinny jeans and heels. Or, try the Target + Prabal blouse with some shorts and sandals (I love this top too)! You could also merge a couple spring trends and pair a white lace top with black jeans (or visa versa). There are really so many options!

Glittering Metallics

I can’t seem to get enough of metallics these days – whether it’s a metallic skirt for a holiday party outfit or just a gold sweater with a pair of comfy jeans. Leather Moto Jackets

These days I’m completely obsessed with the look of leather (or faux leather) moto jackets. I love how easy and chic they are no matter what you are wearing – and since I avoid my winter wool coat until the last possible second, it is the perfect way to bundle up without going overly bulky. Though black may be the most versatile option, there are so many colors to choose from. I’ll be picking up a tan version ASAP!

Printed Shorts

Last week I was on the hunt for some printed shorts to go with a new neon shirt. I now want printed shorts to go with everything. I love how you can wear them with just a simple tee or dress them up with a jacket. And with pops of color, the prints really stand out. I’m pretty sure these J.Crew shorts will be mine before too long, though I’m dreaming about these Milly ones. Seriously. Dreaming. I mean, they’re chevron!

Trendspotting: Tie Dye

Normally when I think of tie dye, I think of my high school chemistry class or summer concerts – but when I spotted Olivia Palermo wearing a pair of tie dye jeans, it looked amazingly chic. Spring Style Trends

Last week I had the pleasure of attending a style network luncheon at the new Michel by Michel Richard restaurant in the Ritz-Carlton, Tyson’s Corner. Both the food and the fashion was amazing, and with all the new stores that have opened at Tysons Galleria recently (Louis Vuitton, Elie Tahari, and Tory Burch to name a few) I was thrilled to hear what they have in store for spring!

Floral Frenzy

If you feel like you’ve been seeing floral everywhere lately, you’re not alone! Bold, wintertime floral prints are covering pants, tops – even suits – these days! I wasn’t sure if it was a look I could pull off (my CapFABB co-founder Lacey totally does) but in smaller bursts (and especially on pants) it seems more doable. Plus, if you decide to add some floral print to your wardrobe now, keep it around for spring – it’s not going anywhere!
