As it gets warmer, it gets harder and harder to dress for work. But now that I’m settled and have access to my clothes again (joys of moving), I’m hoping to step it up a bit this summer. I’m loving the look of pencil skirts and blazers in lighter colors, crisp white shirts, and billowy or wide legged pants – of course, it’s easy to say that now. I’m sure my game plan will change come 90 degree July/August!

Outfit + Occasion: New Job

A new job is the perfect occasion to go through your work wardrobe and step it up a bit, don’t you think? I know after three years at the same job, I’ve gotten pretty comfortable with my attire and it may be time to reevaluate! First place to start, tear apart my closet. Second? Reread this post (I kind of love it, if I may say so myself) and this one from Wardrobe Oxygen (love all Allie’s tips). Third? Shop for pieces I’m missing.

Lately I’ve been feeling a bit uninspired with my office attire – thankfully, there is plenty of inspiration on the runways this fall! I love the skinny, cropped trousers with pointy toe pumps, pretty silk blouses, printed skirts, flowy straight leg pants, and crisp tailored jackets. Now if only I could get everything here in my closet!
